Nato nel 2000, Cyprien Lengagne ha iniziato i suoi studi di violoncello all'età di 4 anni presso il Conservatorio di Losanna nella classe della Prof.ssa Susan Rybicki-Varga, prima di entrare all'età di 15 anni alla Haute École de Musique de Lausanne nella classe dei Proff. Xavier Phillips e Matthieu Lejeune, dove ha seguito un curriculum di Bachelor e Master Solista. Ha proseguito i suoi studi all'International Menuhin Music Academy (IMMA) nella classe dei Proff. Clemens Hagen e Lionel Cottet.

Nel 2024 è entrato a far parte dell'Académie Jaroussky e nel 2025 del "Programme Élite" dell'École Normale Alfred Cortot di Parigi nella classe del Prof. Henri Demarquette. Ha vinto il 4° premio e il "Premio Speciale Elżbieta & Krzysztof Penderecki per la migliore esecuzione solistica" al 4° Concorso Internazionale di Violoncello Krzysztof Penderecki nel 2023. Ha inoltre ottenuto numerosi premi durante i suoi studi alla HEMU, tra cui il "Domaine Musique et Arts de la Scène de la HES-SO" e il "Jaques-Henri Plomb". Ha beneficiato della borsa di studio Friedl Wald nel 2020 e del sostegno della Fondation Safran nel 2025.

Si è esibito in musica da camera o come solista in sale prestigiose quali la "Grange au lac" di Évian, l'Opéra de Lausanne e la Victoria Hall di Ginevra. Ha inoltre suonato in festival rinomati come Crans-Montana Classics, le "Schubertiades d'Espace 2", il Festival Pablo Casals di Prades e i "Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad", dove ha avuto l'opportunità di tenere un recital. È apparso sul palco accanto a personalità come Andrey Baranov, Corina Belcea, Gérard Caussé, Christian Chamorel e Gilles Apap. Appassionato di musica contemporanea, ha suonato con ensemble quali l'Ensemble Intercontemporain, l'Ensemble Modern e la Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra, collaborando con direttori e compositori come Matthias Pintscher, Pierre Bleuse, Lisa Streich, Beat Furrer e George Benjamin.

Sviluppa inoltre la sua attività come compositore: si segnalano in particolare la creazione del suo quartetto "De l'infini des noms" alla Salle Cortot di Parigi da parte del Quartetto Akilone, e più recentemente il suo brano per orchestra d'archi "Le souffle de l'aurore" eseguito dai Menuhin Academy Soloists. Nel settembre 2024 ha vinto il premio Fonds Jacques Cerf, che ha permesso la prima esecuzione del suo primo brano orchestrale "Éclipses" da parte della Lausanne Sinfonietta e dell'orchestra della Haute École de Musique de Lausanne sotto la direzione di Ruth Reinhardt. Nel luglio 2025, "Dialogues" per violoncello e pianoforte è stato eseguito in prima assoluta da Victor e Henri Demarquette al festival La Feuillie Classic.

Born in 2000, Cyprien Lengagne began his cello studies at the age of 4 at the Conservatoire de Lausanne in the class of Prof. Susan Rybicki-Varga, before entering the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in the class of Profs. Xavier Phillips and Matthieu Lejeune at the age of 15, where he followed a Bachelor and a Master Soloist curriculum. He continued his studies at the International Menuhin Music Academy (IMMA) in the class of Profs. Clemens Hagen and Lionel Cottet.

He joined in 2024 the Académie Jaroussky, and the "Programme Élite" of the École Normale Alfred Cortot in Paris in 2025 in the class of Prof. Henri Demarquette. He won the 4th prize and the "Elżbieta & Krzysztof Penderecki Special Prize for the best solo performance" at the 4th International Krzysztof Penderecki Cello Competition in 2023. He also obtained numerous prizes during his studies at HEMU, among which the “Domaine Musique et Arts de la Scène de la HES-SO” and “Jaques-Henri Plomb”. He benefited from the Friedl Wald scholarship in 2020 and from the support of the Fondation Safran in 2025.

He played in chamber music or as soloist in prestigious halls such as the “Grange au lac” in Évian, the Lausanne Opera, or the Victoria Hall in Geneva. He also performed in renowned festivals like Crans-Montana Classics, the "Schubertiades d'Espace 2", the Pablo Casals Festival of Prades, or the "Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad" where he had the opportunity to perform a recital. He appears on stage alongside personalities such as Andrey Baranov, Corina Belcea, Gérard Caussé, Christian Chamorel, and Gilles Apap. Passionate about contemporary music, he played with the ensembles such as the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Ensemble Modern, or the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra, and collaborated with conductors and composers such as Matthias Pintscher, Pierre Bleuse, Lisa Streich, Beat Furrer and George Benjamin.

He also develops his activities as a composer, and we can especially mention the creation of his quartet "De l'infini des noms" at the Salle Cortot in Paris by the Akilone quartet, or more recently his piece for string orchestra "Le souffle de l'aurore" by the Menuhin Academy Soloists. He won in September 2024 the prize Fonds Jacques Cerf, allowing his first orchestra piece “Éclipses” to be played by the Lausanne Sinfonietta and the orchestra of the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne under the baton of Ruth Reinhardt. In July 2025, "Dialogues" for cello and piano has been premiered by Victor and Henri Demarquette at the festival La Feuillie Classic.
