Dagmar Korbar è nata a Zagabria nel 1999. Ha iniziato a studiare viola all'età di cinque anni, diventando la più giovane violista della Croazia. Nel 2013 si è iscritta all'Accademia di Musica di Zagabria, dove ha studiato con il Professor Milan Čunko e si è laureata nel 2018. Ha poi proseguito gli studi presso il Conservatorium van Amsterdam sotto i Professori Nobuko Imai e Marjolein Dispa, laureandosi con la massima distinzione nel 2022.

Dalla stagione 2021/22 alla 2023/24 ha ricoperto il ruolo di Prima Viola dell'Orchestra Filarmonica dei Paesi Bassi. Dal ottobre 2024 insegna come Assistente Professore all'Accademia di Musica di Zagabria. Dagmar ha inoltre partecipato a masterclass con musicisti e insegnanti di spicco, tra cui Bruno Giuranna, Tabea Zimmermann, Gilad Karni, Thomas Riebl e Miguel da Silva. È stata anche beneficiaria di una borsa di studio dell'International Music Academy nel Liechtenstein, dove ora torna come mentore di musica da camera. Durante i suoi studi ha partecipato a numerose competizioni nazionali e internazionali, vincendo molti premi sia come solista che come musicista da camera.

Nel febbraio 2024 ha vinto il Primo Premio al 12° Papandopulo Competition a Zagabria. Nel novembre 2019 è stata premiata con il Primo Premio al 6° Dutch National Viola Competition. È stata inoltre onorata con il Dean's Award e il Rector's Award per i risultati straordinari come studentessa all'Università di Zagabria. Come musicista da camera, è stata invitata a esibirsi a festival tra cui il Next Generation Festival a Bad Ragaz, la Musikwoche Braunwald (Svizzera), l'alpenarte Festival (Austria), il musikarte festival (Liechtenstein), il Mozartfest Würzburg (Germania), il Delft Chamber Music Festival, il Grachtenfestival e il Muze van Zuid Festival (Paesi Bassi), nonché il Korkyra Baroque Festival, l'Ostinato Chamber Music Festival e le Varaždin Baroque Evenings (Croazia). Nel giugno 2018 ha fatto il suo debutto da solista con l'Orchestra Filarmonica di Zagabria, eseguendo il Viola Concerto di William Walton nella Sala da Concerto Vatroslav Lisinski. È stata anche beneficiaria di una borsa di studio della Jeunesses Musicales Germany e della International Summer Academy della mdw – Università di Musica e Arti Sceniche di Vienna.

Dagmar Korbar was born in Zagreb in 1999. She began studying the viola at the age of five, becoming the youngest violist in Croatia. In 2013, she enrolled at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, where she studied with Professor Milan Čunko and graduated in 2018. She then continued her studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under Professors Nobuko Imai and Marjolein Dispa, graduating with the highest distinction in 2022.

From the 2021/22 to the 2023/24 season, she served as Principal Viola of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. Since October 2024, she has been teaching as an Assistant Professor at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. Dagmar has further further participated in masterclasses with distinguished musicians and teachers, including Bruno Giuranna, Tabea Zimmermann, Gilad Karni, Thomas Riebl and Miguel da Silva. She was also a scholarship recipient of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein, where she now returns as a chamber music mentor. Throughout her studies, she participated in numerous national and international competitions, winning many prizes both as a soloist and as a chamber musician.

In February 2024, she won First Prize at the 12th Papandopulo Competition in Zagreb. In November 2019, she was awarded First Prize at the 6th Dutch National Viola Competition. She was also honoured with the Dean’s Award and the Rector’s Award for outstanding achievement as a student at the University of Zagreb. As a chamber musician, she has been invited to perform at festivals including the Next Generation Festival in Bad Ragaz, Musikwoche Braunwald (Switzerland), :alpenarte Festival (Austria), musikarte festival (Liechtenstein), Mozartfest Würzburg (Germany), Delft Chamber Music Festival, Grachtenfestival and Muze van Zuid Festival (the Netherlands), as well as the
